WEBSITE PROJECT
Here you are. You are facing with my website project. To prepare that, I have worked with my partner Merve. I am very grateful with her efforts. We chose a record which is an interview with a famous actor. He is Morgan FREEMAN. After choosing, we listened to that record and wrote it down a paper as far as we were manage to do. Finally, we write an article talking about this interview. while doing this, we really improve our listening skill and acquire new vocabularies and what their pronunciations are. Also, I recommend all of you who read this article to watch this film. You can watch "Invictus" by clicking here.
WEBSITE
PROJECT
Francine Stock arranged an interview with Morgan
Freeman about his film “Invictus”. Morgan Freeman told about the process of
film, the conditions that South Africans live and the situation of Nelson
Mandela who is the real person he plays.
The interviewer begins the interview with presenting
Freeman and continues talking about him by referring to his achievements. She
says that “Morgan Freeman nominated for the Academy Awards for best actor in
the leading role”. After that, she begins to talk the film “Invictus” about how
Mandela joins forces with the captain of South Africa’s rugby team to help
unite their country. She also talks about John Carlin who is the author of the
book that the film is depended on.
First question is about how Morgan Freeman is offered
this film’s idea. In return of her question, Freeman tells her all process. In
this process, John Carlin repurposes the book and mentions him about the film
in a dinner. Also, he adds that the film is an inspiring true story and completed
in three years.
Second question is about that the interviewer wonder
whether he make an approach to spend much time to observe Nelson Mandela or
not? Freeman states he doesn’t make a special approach. According to him,
whenever possible, they come together where they are and Freeman do informative
talks to him. Also, Freeman adds that while he is talking, Mandela just listens
to him motionlessly. But he thinks Mandela gives his talks attention
completely.
Another question is related with the most interesting
thing that Freeman find in Mandela’s life. Freeman states that although he is a
father of the country, he is not happy about his life. His family life is not
very well.
As a fourth question, the interviewer asks what
Mandela thinks about the film. Although he does not say “I like it”, Freeman
thinks he likes it. Because he recognizes his moments and smiles while watching
film. Plus, Freeman confesses that while watching the film, Mandela falls
asleep for a while. But Freeman gives him a pass and understands him. Because
Mandela is 91 years old and has not enough stamina.
The last question is associated with the real picture
displayed with a happy end in the film. Freeman says the real picture is more
complicated that what displayed in “Invictus”. It does not solve South
Africans’ problems, it represents just possibilities.
Finally, if we were the interviewer, we would like to
ask Freeman those following questions;
1) Does “Invictus” have any effect on your attitude
towards Mandela?
2) What was your strategy if you were Nelson Mandela?

WEBQUEST
In my webquest project, I read some instructions and learned how to create a fable. In this sense, My friends Merve, Ceylan and me designed a fable. I want you to have a read it.
BEAR AND SQUIRREL
Once upon a time, there were a bear and a squirrel in a big forest near the river. One day, the mother squirrel and her baby went to the side of the river for picking some walnuts. While the mother squirrel was climbing the tree, her baby fell down to the river suddenly. The mother squirrel began to scream for helping.
Incidentally, a bear heard the squirrel’s screaming, run to the river and rescued her baby. The mother squirrel became very happy and said that: “Thank you very much. You rescued my baby. If you need help one day, I will help you, too. I promise”. The bear laughed and said that:”You little squirrel, how can you help me? I am very big and powerful and you are just weak, small animal”. And then the bear went to his way.
Two days later, the bear was caught in a trap and began to crying. The mother squirrel heard his crying and went to help him. The squirrel arrived near him, nibbled the rope of the trap and rescued him. The bear said that:”I am very upset for my humiliating remarks. I apologize for my rude behavior. Thank you so much”.
After that day, the bear respected every animal and didn’t scorn them.
The moral is that "Being powerful does not mean to overcome everything."

VOLCANIC ERUPTION
Do you scare of that ? I think you do. It looks basilisk. Yes, it is "Eruption". Eruption is one of natural events which have deadly impact human beings. When a volcano erupts, it is not a good signal. In this sense, I wrote a essay describing how a volcano erupts and what kind of eruptions there are in the world. I also added pictures and a video my essay. After having written, I uploaded it "Wikispaces". My essay is demonstrated in that. Go there and have a check. This is also it's URL: http://marmaraelt2.wikispaces.com/V

" PATIENT "
The word "Patient" is really suitable for me. I represent all of the properties of " Patient ". When I am in such a situation that I have to wait for a while, I do it without any boredom. According to me, If you are constantly patient towards any situation, your chances will be higher. As our ancestors have said " Everything comes to him two waits. " , being full of patient brings what I hope to happen to me.
